Arrival and accommodation in your booked rooms. Meeting point of our food experience is in a front of the Este Castle, symbol of the medieval city. Here the carver of the family, Cristoforo da Messisbugo, has given rise to the traditional recipes of Ferrara. Salama da sugo, ciccioli and parmigiano cheese are the first taste of our tour.
The experience continues with the discover of the city. Passing in front of the cathedral dedicated to the patron, Saint George, built from the 1135, and the Ducal Palace , we will walk through the medieval streets to reach our second stop for a taste of pasticcio di maccheroni (pasta pie with white ragù and besciamella) paired with a good wine of the tradition.
Via delle Volte, famous for its arches and suspended walkways, will be our last stop for a taste of our traditional delicious cakes, and one shot of Zabov, the typical liqueur produced in Ferrara made of alcohol and eggnog.
