We start to discover the gastronomic excellence of Ferrara and its symbolic places: the Estense Castle and the kitchens of Cristoforo Messisbugo, court cook, author of a treatise on the Renaissance banquet. The oldest tavern in the world: "Il Brindisi" in ancient time called "Hostaria del Chiucchiolino" (the drunk tavern) frequented during VI century AD by famous artists, painters, sculptors and writers such us Ludovico Ariosto and Torquato Tasso.  
Stop for tasting of typical products with a good glass of wine.
In the afternoon optional visit to Palazzo Schiofanoia, ancient royal residence of leisure of the Este court, currently seat of civic Museum.
Comacchio, the city on the water, called little Venice, and famous for its eel, now Slow Food presidium.
Boat trip in the Comacchio Valleys,  discovering a truly unique ecosystem, where lives several species of aquatic fauna such us the pink flamingos, one of the Europe's most important colonies.
Light lunch with fish speciality
In the afternoon guided tour in Comacchio city center and afterwards visit to the Museum of Marinates, the ancient factory of eel processing.
