WALKING IN THE RENAISSANCE GARDEN
One of the most evocative places of the Renaissance is certainly the Addizione Erculea. The urban project, strongly wanted by Ercole I d'Este, was builtwith the idea of doubling the size of the city, but had the main purpose of competing with the most important European courts.
The project was realized by the architect Biagio Rossetti following a spattern of alternation between buildings and green areas.
This itinerary includes Corso Ercole I d'Este, the internal garden of the Palazzo dei Diamanti, the biodynamic vegetable garden, the Certosa di Ferrara, the ancient walls, Piazza Ariostea, and last but not least the splendid setting of Parco Massari.
