We start to discover the culinary excellence of Ferrara and its symbolic places: the Estense Castle and the kitchens of Cristoforo Messisbugo, court chef , author of a essay on the Renaissance banquet. The oldest tavern in the world: "Il Brindisi" in ancient times called "Hostaria del Chiucchiolino" (the drunk's tavern) frequented during VI century AD by famous artists, painters, sculptors and writers such us Ludovico Ariosto and Torquato Tasso.

In the afternoon optional visit to Palazzo Schifanoia, one of the ancient  leisure residences of the Este court, currently hosting the  Civic Museum.
Comacchio, the city on the water, called little Venice, and famous for its eel, now Slow Food presidium.
Boat trip in the Comacchio Lagoon,  discovering a truly unique ecosystem, where there live several species of aquatic fauna such us pink flamingos, one of  Europe's biggest colonies.
Light lunch with fish specialties
Later on in the afternoon, guided tour of the city center and afterwards visit to the Museum of Marinates, the ancient factory of eel processing.
